Hi all-

Welcome to the first official WOODLAKE ANIMAL HOSPITAL blog entry…watch this space for interesting articles, tidbits, facts and even some silliness that relates to the health and well-being of our beloved pets!

Today, I want to thank all of our wonderful clients for joining us here at Woodlake Animal Hospital.  As of today, we’ve been open FOUR months, and each month just gets better and better- our clients are wonderful and the care that they give their lucky four-legged family members is truly fabulous.  We are thankful for the kind, warm and welcome reception that the Woodlake community has shown, and are looking forward to growing and being an active, busy member of this, and surrounding, communities.

I also want to highlight my two wonderful team-members, and our eager and enthusiastic volunteers- Monica Grant came to us after 8 years at another clinic, and brings her love of training and behavior, as well as a great mind for business and management…she is finishing her LVT licensure, and is able to help anywhere in the clinic with whatever is needed.  She is knowledgable and personable, and we are SO lucky to have her!

Tracy Bittner, LVT came on board as we opened, and Woodlake Animal Hospital wouldn’t exist without all her hard work, dedication and investment in our growth and our clinic.  She put everything together in the chaotic week before we opened and has handled the changes and the growth with a smile and “can-do” attitude.  She is a Reiki master and her interest in alternative healing modalities also complements Dr. Jones’s acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.  In fact, Tracy is at a seminar this week learning more about TCVM (Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine).

We have three wonderful volunteers, who are here to help wherever it is needed- Christy, Kara and Christy (yup, keeping it simple!) and they are just getting a feel for whether or not veterinary medicine is what they want in their future…so far, they still seem to be interested!

Thank you for reading my first blog….there will be more, and they will be funnier and more informative, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you who have helped make my dream of Woodlake Animal Hospital come true.
