First, please allow Woodlake Animal Hospital to assure you that we are operating as usual – when your pets get sick, they need our care. Second, we are committed to caring for them and for you.

In the interest of all of our clients and staff, the Woodlake Animal Hospital team requests:

1) Please do not visit the hospital if you have been abroad recently or are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or breathing difficulties. In this situation please have a family member or friend bring in your pet or reschedule the appointment entirely.

2) Please only one person attend appointments with your pet and don’t come as a group during this pandemic. This also applies to picking up food and/or medications.

3) We are developing strategies to minimize wait times in the lobby of the hospital in addition to minimizing exposure to other families. We ask that you call and have medications or food refills called into our hospital prior to picking up and please call the office to have a staff member to help you out when you are here to pick up these items. We can also bring your medications out to the car if you would be more comfortable.

4) Woodlake Animal Hospital staff members will be minimizing direct human-to-human contact while following all CDC recommended hygiene practices. We are continuing to sanitize and disinfect each room before and after each appointment in addition to disinfecting our point of sale terminals three times daily or even more frequently.

5) If you would be more comfortable having our veterinarians examine your pet at your home, we can schedule a house call visit or telemedicine consultation to our established clients.

CONTINUING TO RUN A CLEAN OPERATION

As a medical facility, we are continually refining and improving our ability to provide the most clean and sterile environment possible for our patients. As a matter of protocol we wipe down every surface in our common areas between pet visits with sanitizing products. We clean the hepa filters in the office and regularly change the filters in our AC units. The client waiting area is cleaned three times a day while exam room furniture is cleaned between each appointment. Additionally, our staff is compliant with medical standard practices for hand-washing and preventing illness spread by having our staff stay home when they aren’t feeling well.

PREPARATION:

We are working on plans to be able to help quarantined clients with their animals’ medical needs if the need arises. We are also working to provide services to clients who are at risk, and are trying to minimize contact with people and public spaces. We will share those updates with you as they develop.

Thank you for the trust and support you put in us by allowing us to care for you and your pets. Together we will work through this.

Kind Regards,
Dr. Jones and the staff of Woodlake Animal Hospital
