With over 13 years of veterinary experience, Claire has dedicated her career to animals and their humans. She has never had a job that didn’t include animals! From a young age she grew up around horses and German Shepherds. She began by working in large equine boarding facilities where she enjoyed animal husbandry/caretaking and being outdoors. Starting in high school she dove headfirst into vet med by attending the Chesterfield Technical Center Veterinary Science program which led her to her first veterinary job. She graduated magna cum laude from the Blue Ridge Community College’s Veterinary Technology Program and was awarded the Ursula Stryder Student of the Year Award. She has special interests in photobiomodulation (laser) therapy, cytology, and animal behavior. She loves educating clients and staff alike. She loves to entertain the staff with veterinary parody songs.
In her free time she loves spending time with her own pets, attending any concert or music festival she can, cooking for friends and family, and planning her next adventure.
